And she's living at Mabel's till I move so

it grows on you eventually.
we are in the phase of socializing the cat which is always fun. "fun."
ah yeah. the nebulous "soon." that is just as fun.
hopefully soon is before christmas at least.

She doesn't really know any other cats

There weren't any others in the yard and
She's only like, four months old

I guess she doesn't have friends

yes. you do the same thing with dogs so they are trained to play nice with other dogs and people, so why not cats?
mewpac doesn't know very many cats either even though i took her to the cat cafe the other day.
she's still a kitten too though.
and i think everyone needs friends, don't you?

mewpac has met a lot of people because she likes running around the dorm but i think that probably does not work for every cat.

Mine was an outdoor cat
So I guess she's met people
But she was almost always in my yard.
I never saw a mom or anything...

I guess a cat cafe works.
I didn't know they were a thing.

so inside would probably work better for her then. that makes sense.
also that sucks.

they are definitely a thing.
my roommate works at the one here.
it is pretty much what you would expect.

it can't hurt.
the cafe has cats for adoption but when i brought mewpac in a few weeks ago nobody said anything, so i think it is just as good a place as any to bring them as long as you keep a hold of her.

Why what happens if we let them explore?

cat fights probably.
also if the door to the cafe opens they could run out.
mewpac tries to escape every now and then to explore because i think she is sort of crazy.

My cat kind of decided to live with me

So why would she leave

because cats are curious and prone to wandering.
my cat still likes me and she also likes to climb up onto the roof of the dorm.
it is a cat thing.

Never been on a dorm roof that could be cool

So when are we doing this cat cafe thing

we're up there a little too much.
and anytime! the cafe is open during the day and my schedule is clearing up. i could even do today if we felt like it.

i am pretty sure my ra would get mad if we brought more people up there.

[True to his word, he texts the address to Catmosphere.]

[And true to his word he and the mutant kitten will in fact be at the cat cafe about an hour later.]

[Luna is already there, sitting on the step outside of the store with her little black and white kitten wrapped up in her arms and her hoodie.]

[She pushes to her feet when she sees John coming, hugging the kitten to her.] Hey.

[windeity]

[John's hands are in his pockets and the black head of his four-eyed kitten peers out from the top of his own hoodie and he nods in greeting, grinning softly upon seeing her.]

Hey, Luna. And Luna's cat. I didn't keep you waiting for long did I?

[She pushed her hoodie back up once he started talking, revealing her pink hair, and shook it loose.]

Nah, just a couple minutes. I think she's getting kinda grumpy about the cold though.

[A pair of bright, unhappy kitten eyes peered out from Luna's arms at John.]
