Not really. Not yet. But I think I did?

[She hesitates, then shakes her head.]

I haven't seen a lot of things and I don't know how to make sense of them so it's hard to really say.

I guess I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. When you're supposed to remember these things, you will. I didn't remember all of my powers and stuff right away either. Maybe it's for the best.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Probably. But I mean, I do wanna know stuff!

[She laughed.]

What I've seen so far, her life looks...I don't know. Exciting? And I mean, she could summon monsters so.

[She pats her dog on the nose again, then then with a swirl much like he appeared, he disappears.]

Maybe you were a witch of some kind? That sounds like a witch-y kind of thing and magic is pretty cool. I hope you learn more about her soon. [Bye dog.] ...that's still really cool.

Yeah. But he was definitely freaking out the cats.

[She'll let the poor kittens go now so they don't freak out and run away.]

Haha. A witch. Sure I can get behind that. [A beat.] As long as I'm a pretty witch. No crooked noses for me.

[Mewpac at least rolls on the table completely fine now, a paw batting at Luna's kitten to get her to play again.]

I don't see why not. I think there can be pretty witches, that is sort of the whole point. Witches can probably look like whatever they want.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Then I will be the prettiest witch.

[She laughs. Her kitten turns at the batting and tackles Mewpac, sending them both into a little wrestling roll across the table.]

Or, I guess a summoner? Since like, I haven't found any magic besides the dog...

[windeity]

[There's a surprised sort of pause even as he watches the cats before he glances at Luna again.]

Well...not yet, anyway. [Another pause.] My sister was a witch, actually. Her powers did some pretty crazy stuff from what I remember and I do not think she discovered it all at once. And she didn't have a crooked nose.

[chaoticwhimsy]

[Luna giggled.] So there's hope for me yet.

[Meanwhile the two kittens were just wrestling happily around the table now.]

Your sister is a witch though? Really? How's that work?

[windeity]

I think so. [Hope is a good thing to have, who is he to discourage her? The kittens play and John has his drink and he's trying to decide the best way to answer that.]

Back where we're from, we all ended up with different titles. I do not know how those were determined but when we leveled up she became the Witch of Space. And basically what that means is that she's able to manipulate all kinds of stuff around her and make it shrink or make it grow or slow things down and I think maybe teleport? I am not entirely clear on her powers yet. But I bet she could do a lot more than that with some practice.

Wow.

[Well, that all sounded fun.]

It sounds amazing. I haven't seen anything that would say I'm going to have any powers like that, so maybe witch is a bit out of my league huh?

[windeity]

It's possible, but I still think a witch counts as a witch as long as she can do some kind of magic and considering you can make a dog show up out of nowhere, I think that counts. [But there's a fond grin.] She is amazing though, yeah. I wish I had gotten to meet her while she was still here.

She left? Why would your sister leave?

[Luna looked a bit confused by that. She thought normal families didn't do things like that. That was what made them normal.]

[He shakes his head.]

We're not related in this lifetime. So I think she left with her family here before I got to the city. That's what people have told me, anyway.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Oh! And...I guess she wouldn't know you if she doesn't remember...

[Luna looked sad.]

My sister here forgot about the app. But she remembers me? I guess because we're really sisters and not memory-sisters.

[windeity]

Exactly. I'd be just another stranger to her if she ever came back. [But he's accepted that. Still, what Luna says has him curious.] It gets a little complicated, doesn't it? I think the family you have here is just as important, if not more, than the family you remember anyway. Even if she doesn't have the app anymore it doesn't change how you guys feel about each other right?

[chaoticwhimsy]

Mm. [Luna hesitated.] I guess not. I don't know how I feel about her anyway.

I only found out she existed a couple months ago.

[windeity]

Good point. But just because she's off the app doesn't mean you can't keep getting to know her to figure out how you feel about her. If you want. But maybe that's just me.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Mm. Yeah. I mean, she's still my sister.

[Luna was just hesitant about going into anything like that, app or not.]

I guess I'm not exactly drowning in family, can't afford to throw any away.

[windeity]

Exactly. Worth holding onto when you can. [He glances at the table, noticing that Mewpac's quieted down and nearly fallen asleep.] ...think we should take them back?

[chaoticwhimsy]

Probably.

[Her own kitten was flopped over next to Mewpac, curled up against her.]

They seem to be friends now, at least.

[windeity]

Easy, right? It'll be good for next time, whenever that is. [But he's also reaching into his pocket for his wallet so he can leave a tip for their drinks.]

You planning more cat dates?

[Luna asked with a little grin as she reached out to gently untangle her cat from Mewpac and pick her up.]

Why not? [Mewpac gets scooped up with one hand.] They seemed to enjoy it and it's not a bad thing for people to socialize either, you know? [Plus then he can lowkey keep an eye on Luna which helps.]

[chaoticwhimsy]

...I guess you aren't so bad to hang out.

[She was clearly teasing, and as she talked she did a bit of gymnastic stretching and safely deposited her kitten into the hood of her hoodie. A moment later she popped up with his paws on her shoulder, peering over at John.]
