[Luna's own kitten cam prowling after Mewpac, until Luna had both of them sniffing at her hands, so she just danced her fingers a bit.]

I have zero idea how to take care of a cat. At least my dog disappears.

[windeity]

[And Mewpac's busy batting at Luna's hand like it's a game, content to tire herself out while John's just staring.]

Your dog does what now?

[chaoticwhimsy]

Disappears.

[SHe'll keep wiggling her fingers as she straightens up a bit, looking around. Normally Luna didn't care much about consequences, but she liked animals and didn't want to scare the ones in the store.]

I can show you? But it might freak out some of the pets here.

[windeity]

So you know this means you have to show me when you leave, don't you? You can't just lead with something like that and then not show me at all. He disappears into thin air? [Like a sylladex? That would be cool and kind of weird.]

[chaoticwhimsy]

[Luna rolled her eyes, then looked around. They were sort of out of the way. She reached out to place one arm over both kittens to keep them from jumping, and then brought her other to her chest, fingers balled into a little fist as her eyes closed.]

[A shimmering swirl of dark miasma sprinkled with shimmering light swirls up from her chest and around her hand, and then she gestured, and the glow followed her hand, the smokey mass floating out to an empty space by their table where it roiled and expanded out into a larger cloud, then vanished in a burst, revealing her weird dog, who looks around slowly before flopping down on the ground, staring up at the two of them.]

[Luna opened her eyes after a few seconds, sucking in a breath, and looked over at her dog, then at John.]

My dog.

[windeity]

[UH. He doesn't jump in surprise or anything but he does stare for a moment as he watches Luna summon the dog and he glances at the creature first before he glances at her again.]

Are you sure that's a dog?

[chaoticwhimsy]

Nope.

[She grins.]

The internet says he's some kind of dinosaur.

[windeity]

A summonable dinosaur is probably the most badass thing I've heard of. [There's a laugh then.] But okay. So your dog thing. When did you start being able to summon him?

[chaoticwhimsy]

Mm. I guess two months ago, just about? [Luna stretched out her hand and the dog got up to prowl over to her and let her pat him on the head.]

But I wasn't actually any good at it for like, a month. He'd just show up when I was scared and disappear when I got distracted.

[windeity]

[That sounds weirdly familiar...]

You think he's a part of you then? Like a piece of your soul or something. [Mewpac's curiously watching the dog even though she definitely does not approach? That thing is terrifying to her, she'll stay right where she's at. John, on the other hand, leans forward to get a better look.]

[chaoticwhimsy]

[Luna wasn't really sure how to answer that.]

A...part of me? I don't know. I mean, he comes out fo me but...

[She shrugged. The dog turned to stare at John as the boy looked him over, long tail sliding back and forth slowly across the floor.]

I know, it's a weird question, but there are a bunch of people here who can produce summons. It's the one thing that I'm familiar with around here that I don't have experience with myself. They say that their summons are a part of them though. [So this is now a doggie staring contest, neat.]

[chaoticwhimsy]

Hmm...maybe he is, then? I can't feel him or anything crazy like that though.

[The dog just stares back. And doesn't appear to really need to blink ever?]

[windeity]

Do you remember summoning anything besides the dog?

[chaoticwhimsy]

Not really. Not yet. But I think I did?

[She hesitates, then shakes her head.]

I haven't seen a lot of things and I don't know how to make sense of them so it's hard to really say.

[windeity]

I guess I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. When you're supposed to remember these things, you will. I didn't remember all of my powers and stuff right away either. Maybe it's for the best.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Probably. But I mean, I do wanna know stuff!

[She laughed.]

What I've seen so far, her life looks...I don't know. Exciting? And I mean, she could summon monsters so.

[She pats her dog on the nose again, then then with a swirl much like he appeared, he disappears.]

[windeity]

Maybe you were a witch of some kind? That sounds like a witch-y kind of thing and magic is pretty cool. I hope you learn more about her soon. [Bye dog.] ...that's still really cool.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Yeah. But he was definitely freaking out the cats.

[She'll let the poor kittens go now so they don't freak out and run away.]

Haha. A witch. Sure I can get behind that. [A beat.] As long as I'm a pretty witch. No crooked noses for me.

[windeity]

[Mewpac at least rolls on the table completely fine now, a paw batting at Luna's kitten to get her to play again.]

I don't see why not. I think there can be pretty witches, that is sort of the whole point. Witches can probably look like whatever they want.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Then I will be the prettiest witch.

[She laughs. Her kitten turns at the batting and tackles Mewpac, sending them both into a little wrestling roll across the table.]

Or, I guess a summoner? Since like, I haven't found any magic besides the dog...

[windeity]

[There's a surprised sort of pause even as he watches the cats before he glances at Luna again.]

Well...not yet, anyway. [Another pause.] My sister was a witch, actually. Her powers did some pretty crazy stuff from what I remember and I do not think she discovered it all at once. And she didn't have a crooked nose.

[chaoticwhimsy]

[Luna giggled.] So there's hope for me yet.

[Meanwhile the two kittens were just wrestling happily around the table now.]

Your sister is a witch though? Really? How's that work?

[windeity]

I think so. [Hope is a good thing to have, who is he to discourage her? The kittens play and John has his drink and he's trying to decide the best way to answer that.]

Back where we're from, we all ended up with different titles. I do not know how those were determined but when we leveled up she became the Witch of Space. And basically what that means is that she's able to manipulate all kinds of stuff around her and make it shrink or make it grow or slow things down and I think maybe teleport? I am not entirely clear on her powers yet. But I bet she could do a lot more than that with some practice.

[chaoticwhimsy]

Wow.

[Well, that all sounded fun.]

It sounds amazing. I haven't seen anything that would say I'm going to have any powers like that, so maybe witch is a bit out of my league huh?
