SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
Lumina will be working on developing her Chocobo ranch into an actual ranch and not the three-birds-and-a-little-girl that it is right now. With the death of the Jabberwhelp and her attitude being shaken somewhat, she'll also be turning more towards learning how to actually fight, and not just be a little pest. Somewhat. When it amuses her.
Her seelie friends may find she isn't speaking to them much, because she's going to finally be pretty pissed at the other side of the war, instead of just not caring. Anyone who is friends with her on the unseelie side can expect to have her drop by at least once a week just to check in and say hi and be a pest. She's not exactly good at being by herself, and the loss of the lockets is going to hit her hard.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May)

MARCH - During the cold spell, Lumina and Lemina will be working to get magical heating set up in Lumina's chocobo ranch. The second round of eggs will be born as well, numbers and colors not yet determined.
APRIL - Lumina won't really mind the harp, her emotions are already pretty chaotic. That said, she is going to have a breakdown towards the end of the month that will result in her smashing the harp. Need someone to be around while she breaks down.
May - Lumina will be hunting the swans for the cash money! Also people may find her training young chocobos in their magic while she does it! The third set of chocobo eggs will be born this month, numbers and colors not yet determined..

SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug)

June - As people prepare to clean up the Jabberwock stuff, Lumina will basically run away to a boat adventure with the Outsider in order to avoid thinking about it and getting sad again. She will be heading to the tournament in Treun to watch the excitement but won't be fighting!
July - Lumina will return from sea adventures! The fourth clutch of chocobo eggs will be born here, numbers and colors to be determined. As the ranch becomes more crowded, Lumina's focus will be mostly on it for the next few months until she adjusts.
August - Forest golems in the trees surrounding Lumina's ranch will do some small damage to the ranch and buildings there before being driven off by the chocobos and Lumina and whomever happens to be around. Lumina will be at the festival of light in Leathann!

FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov)

September - Lumina will be at the harvest festival, and probably watching the bread riots with great amusement. The language problems won't change how she speaks (FFXIII doesn't really have languages as a concept) but she won't be able to understand anyone who is not speaking 'English', for the sake of convenience!
October SAMHEIN! Lumina may try to talk to the Black Shuck. The Fifth clutch of chocobo eggs will be born this month, however owing to the nature of the month, all eggs will be Black Chocobos.
November - Lumina will have some run ins with the escaped prisoners, probably helping to catch them or letting them go depending on her whim, really.

WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb)

December - Yule! Lumina will be getting gifts for all of her friends! She will also attempt to talk to the white hart, rather than hunt it, which may result in an animal transformation?
January - Reclaiming her room in the rebuilt Caer Scima, being happy to see the city in one piece again. Shard training with Ganondorf/the shade in exchange for chocobos for his soldiers?
February - Lumina will be at the feast, oblivious to the violence towards the elves! The first chocobo clutch of spring will be born, the largest yet as the various chocobos from last year begin to come of age.

SPRING IN 2,702 (Mar, Apr)

March - Lumina will spend a chunk of the month protecting her ranch from the skeletons, until she's managed to teach her chocobos to kick the creature's skulls off. Several chocobos will be killed, which will have her pretty angry.
April - Three of Lumina's imps will go missing! Along with many she is friends with in the court. She will be exceedingly upset and begin searching for them everywhere she can.

Lumina why did you just tell him that. He didn't know how to really compute such a large number of birds but it was clear he was already recalculating everything he'd been working.

"Ever heard of an automatic bird feeder?" He nodded toward the rubble, tempted to smack her hand to drop the t-square. "That's what this is eventually gonna be."

"Nope, never." She smirked. "But I can prooooobably guess what it does, huh?" She tossed the T-square from hand to hand.

"You can really make something like that work with magic?"

"I'm gonna laugh if you drop that on your own foot," he commented lightly, just stretching his arms behind his head before reaching into his pocket and fishing out a few sheets of paper ripped from his notebook.

"I can make something like that work with science. I figured out how to get the timing right and everything." The thing that Lumina didn't need to know was that he'd spent the entire month of April in isolation and with only his own company he worked on plans and projects and ideas to keep himself busy. Passing over the blueprints revealed a large structure with troughs, funnels, gears and timers that were mishmashed into something that looked like a mess on paper but Hiro knew would work if he could build it just right.

She tossed it higher and snatched it from the air, then smirked. "Hey, I'll laugh too." She could deal with her own pain just fine, thank you. As long as it was something trivial.

Lumina leaned over to peer at the blueprints, and her eyes admittedly went rather wide, because even if she didn't really understand how it worked, she could get the scale of it.

"That's...pretty big."

"Call it a challenge." He shrugged, but there was still a smug smirk on his face. His inventions rarely failed and how hard could this be? "You want to keep the chocobos happy and healthy, don't you? This is a good start, plus then the time you save from having to feed them by hand means more time doing...whatever else you do around here."

"Hey, I do things!" No she didn't. She really didn't. She mostly told other people to do things.

"It could be nice to have more free time, though. And the chocobos get grumpy when dinner is late..."

She was spoiling them, oh yes.

"How do you know when a chocobo gets grumpy?" He couldn't help but ask but even while she played around with the t-square he went back to work, hauling a plank up to see how tall it stood. It definitely towered over both of them, but he kept it balanced.

"If you had more free time, you could get out and explore more. You still haven't seen everything in this world, have you?" He looked at her then, a knowing look on his face. "You're the one who can teleport. If I could do that, I'd go everywhere I could."

Especially now. Especially after he had been in hiding for the entirety of the previous month. It was an itch that needed to be scratched and maybe she'd realize that was why he was there today, and maybe she wouldn't. It didn't matter much to him either way.

"They puff up their feathers and wark really angrily. And sometimes they peck at you!" Chocobos were dangerous, Hiro. Dangerous and easy to understand.

"Hmm, true. I need to go down to the new Barrel..." She swayed from side to side as she thought it over, and then she suddenly tossed the part back to him.

"Alright, you can do it. Just lemmie know what you need."

"So they are giant chickens." He grinned, but that shifted quickly the moment she threw the tool back at him. Catching it with one hand and barely fumbling he dropped it on the ground before raising an eyebrow.

It would be easy to tell Lumina okay, thanks, and send her off but...it had been a long month.

"You could start by telling me what the Barrel is. I don't think I've heard of it."

Hiro was lucky she had already tossed the part back, or she'd have hurled it at him. "They are not chickens Hiro." Mutter mutter grumble grumble.

"It's...you've really never heard of the barrel?"

Feathery monsters, whatever. If they looked like chickens and warked like chickens...but he wasn't going to argue that with her right now. Instead he rolled his shoulders, shaking his head in response and looking slightly annoyed that she was making it seem like he was missing something really big.

"Do you think I'd be asking if I had? I still haven't traveled much. So?"

"It's...uh, well, it was like an inn sort of place? It was south of the forest Ariadne's house is in but it got trashed by the seelie. I know the owner is rebuilding it, I want to swing by and see it."

His face clouded over a little at the mention of the Seelie once again destroying something of theirs. But an inn sounded like it was worth at least checking out even if he didn't have plans on staying anywhere anytime soon.

"Huh." That was all he said for a while. "Cool. If you go you should tell me what it's like. I might head that way, too."

There was always the possibility of going together but the thought didn't even occur to him. If Lumina was going to go herself she'd be the perfect scout. "At some point I want to start looking around and seeing what businesses have been set up in the Dorchadas. Maybe I can help them, too." Something to do, anyway.

"Will do," she would, too. Lumina did so like to talk.

"What sort of things would you build for other people, huh?" She started walking in a wide circle around his little makeshift work area.

As she began to move he went back to work, not at all minding the fact that she was circling him this time. He could keep an eye on her just as easily as he could measure and cut wood pieces.

"Whatever they needed. I've been learning a lot about what can and can't be made around here and what can and can't be made with magic. It's only a problem if I let it be, right?" Arrogant as usual, but it wasn't the full truth. Hiro had found there were plenty of limitations he couldn't break past, but Lumina didn't need to know that.

"What else would this place need?"

"Hmmmmm...." Lumina twisted around on one foot as she looked around the ranch, thinking things over.

"Lemina made me some little heat lamp...things. They're magic. Maybe something to recharge them? Or to hang them better."

Lumina mostly just tucked them into the corners of the stables.

"I can probably think of something to constantly charge them if it's just Lemina's magic. That's a little easier to figure out. Are they hanging now or are they somewhere else?"

It was probably best not to tell her he wasn't exactly an architect, but he's been learning and he can figure out basic structures. He could easily figure something out if he saw what she was already doing.

"They're...kind of sitting in the corner?" She grinned and shrugged. "We were kind of putting them out in a hurry and it seemed like the best place for them at the time."

"Long term, though? Prooooobably a fire hazard."

"I don't think there's really a 'probably' about it." He shook his head. "You live on a ranch, pretty much everything is flammable around here. I can probably install some hooks or something to get them off the ground to prevent it. I'm learning a lot more about just normal building lately."

"Normal building?" She'd stop, twisting around on one foot to face him again.

"As opposed to fancy building?"

"Normal building like without technology or real machinery. This is a lot slower than it would be if I had access to stuff from my world." It bothered him more than he'd like to admit, if only because it would mean admitting he couldn't figure out a better solution. "This alone might take a week or two if I'm doing it myself."

"So the boring building," she snickered and held her arms out to either side in an elaborate shrug.

"Well, if you need any heavy lifting done, I can probably help you out."

Said the twelve year old. Who was ninety pounds soaking wet.

A pause. A long stretch of silence, actually. He looked her over for a moment, tilting his head before he smirked in response.

"Uh huh. Sure. How would you help with the heavy lifting?"
