Lumina COURT Unseelie TITLE The Impling OCCUPATION Chocobo Breeder! ABLE TO FAST-TRAVEL Lumina can teleport to all of the major cities at this point, and about half of the minor ones. She is slowly collecting smaller ones when she gets bored. RESIDENCE IN 2,701 A small chocobo ranch on the outsiders of Mair, and her room at Caer Scima. PLANS Large plans for development or activities for the timeskip, etc. SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS Lumina will be working on developing her Chocobo ranch into an actual ranch and not the three-birds-and-a-little-girl that it is right now. With the death of the Jabberwhelp and her attitude being shaken somewhat, she'll also be turning more towards learning how to actually fight, and not just be a little pest. Somewhat. When it amuses her. Her seelie friends may find she isn't speaking to them much, because she's going to finally be pretty pissed at the other side of the war, instead of just not caring. Anyone who is friends with her on the unseelie side can expect to have her drop by at least once a week just to check in and say hi and be a pest. She's not exactly good at being by herself, and the loss of the lockets is going to hit her hard. TIMELINE OF EVENTS SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) MARCH - During the cold spell, Lumina and Lemina will be working to get magical heating set up in Lumina's chocobo ranch. The second round of eggs will be born as well, numbers and colors not yet determined. APRIL - Lumina won't really mind the harp, her emotions are already pretty chaotic. That said, she is going to have a breakdown towards the end of the month that will result in her smashing the harp. Need someone to be around while she breaks down. May - Lumina will be hunting the swans for the cash money! Also people may find her training young chocobos in their magic while she does it! The third set of chocobo eggs will be born this month, numbers and colors not yet determined.. SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) June - As people prepare to clean up the Jabberwock stuff, Lumina will basically run away to a boat adventure with the Outsider in order to avoid thinking about it and getting sad again. She will be heading to the tournament in Treun to watch the excitement but won't be fighting! July - Lumina will return from sea adventures! The fourth clutch of chocobo eggs will be born here, numbers and colors to be determined. As the ranch becomes more crowded, Lumina's focus will be mostly on it for the next few months until she adjusts. August - Forest golems in the trees surrounding Lumina's ranch will do some small damage to the ranch and buildings there before being driven off by the chocobos and Lumina and whomever happens to be around. Lumina will be at the festival of light in Leathann! FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) September - Lumina will be at the harvest festival, and probably watching the bread riots with great amusement. The language problems won't change how she speaks (FFXIII doesn't really have languages as a concept) but she won't be able to understand anyone who is not speaking 'English', for the sake of convenience! October SAMHEIN! Lumina may try to talk to the Black Shuck. The Fifth clutch of chocobo eggs will be born this month, however owing to the nature of the month, all eggs will be Black Chocobos. November - Lumina will have some run ins with the escaped prisoners, probably helping to catch them or letting them go depending on her whim, really. WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) December - Yule! Lumina will be getting gifts for all of her friends! She will also attempt to talk to the white hart, rather than hunt it, which may result in an animal transformation? January - Reclaiming her room in the rebuilt Caer Scima, being happy to see the city in one piece again. Shard training with Ganondorf/the shade in exchange for chocobos for his soldiers? February - Lumina will be at the feast, oblivious to the violence towards the elves! The first chocobo clutch of spring will be born, the largest yet as the various chocobos from last year begin to come of age. SPRING IN 2,702 (Mar, Apr) March - Lumina will spend a chunk of the month protecting her ranch from the skeletons, until she's managed to teach her chocobos to kick the creature's skulls off. Several chocobos will be killed, which will have her pretty angry. April - Three of Lumina's imps will go missing! Along with many she is friends with in the court. She will be exceedingly upset and begin searching for them everywhere she can.

"A bit better than usually," She's been slowly trying to pull herself off of any dependency with sleeping aids and potions. Save from the usual nightmares and waking up at night, Alice was starting to sleep better on her own. Waking up in the night was normal.

Falling out of the bed was also normal.

Alice opens the door wider and steps to the side to allow her in, "I suppose I cannot complain."

"Good! The beds are all new so they're kinda stiff," Lumina skipped into the room and spun around in the center, and apparently that was all the patience she had because she was suddenly thrusting the little bundle of blankets out towards Alice.

"Surprise!"

Inside appeared to be a squirm little bundle of green chocobo, about three weeks old and a bit bigger than a soccer ball.

She was about to point out that the beds weren't as stiff as the beds back in London. She didn't mind it, not after her bouts of refusing to sleep in an actual bad. But as Alice turned around, her eyes go wide in shock at the squirming bundle. "Ah!"

Ever so gently, Alice takes up the squirming bundle of green fluff. She knew that Lumina had mentioned eggs before and even got excited at the prospect of an infant chocobo. A real smile comes from Alice as she immediately takes up the baby bird in her arms. "Oh, dear... it's so darling!"

Animals will always make her smile, "Thank you, Lumina!"

I figure you can pick gender and stuff for it.

Lumina grinned and hopped backwards once it was taken, looking like the cat that ate the canary. "Isn't it? I had to hide this one cause you were here." She gave her a mock-upset look and then grinned. Alice's reaction was pretty much exactly what she was hoping for.

"But it's yours! To keep I mean."

In her nurturing nature, Alice is sure to bundle him up closer to chest so that he stays warm. After the moment of excitement from Alice, the chocobo infant quells his chirping and settles in Alice's arms. Her smile grows wider, watching him. Since it's still winter and the chocobo is small enough to be in her arms, she won't be letting him down for a while.

"Really?" She had a feeling that Lumina had meant to give the chocobo to her, but the affirmation is nice, "Then I hope that he enjoys rabbits and fairies."

"Yup, really!" She moved back to perch on the edge of Alice's bed. "He probably does! They get along with lots of stuff, except wolves. And adamantoise." Not that that...mattered...here...

"When they're really little like that they can fly! But they grow out of it when they get older..."

"They can fly?"

She had read about the large birds in Australia so many years ago -- large, flightless birds that always caught her curiosity. Surely, even as she gathers up the the little feathery bundle, the small bird won't fly off.

"Not too far, I hope?"

"Nah. They just, you know, flutter around," she waved her hands vaguely in the air.

"They're pretty loyal and they usually do what you say!" A pause. "Unless they're playing, then no promises at all."

"Then they're like any other child," She remarks to herself, rubbing in between the eyes of the chocobo before she turns to face Lumina, "I'll keep that in mind."

Of course, once he's really settled into Alice's arms, he's content to loaf there unless Alice makes the move to put him down. The fact he doesn't put up much of a fight makes Alice less likely to put him down. She smiles before settling on the bed, too, "Is there anything that they need to eat that's important?"

"Mmm...not really," Lumina shrugged, reaching out to tap the little bird on the beak lightly, and pulled her finger back before he could nip her.

"They like greens. And they eat grass and hey. And cookies." Someone probably shouldn't be feeding them cookies oops?

"I don't think cookies are proper meals," She almost laughs at that, watching carefully so that the little thing doesn't nip at her. He's easily riled, fluttering his wings before he settles back into her arms with content grinding of his beak.

"Then he's like a rabbit. How peculiar! And here I was thinking apples."

"Proper meals or not they like them." She shrugged, kicking her feet.

"Apples..." Huh. She hadn't thought of that. "I guess cause it's winter, that didn't really occur to me. You could try?"

"if it's not fit for you, how is it fit for another?"

Especially an infant bird and on that thought, Alice glances down at the little bird before smiling at him. She's perfectly content sitting her for some time, rubbing the back of his head. Alice's words are almost cut off with a happy chirp. "Maybe in the spring, maybe if Jack Frost will consider letting up on the winter."

Lumina made a face. "Cookies are fit for me, thank you." And then she giggled.

"Maybe. The birds don't seem to mind it much. I've been keeping the babies downstairs in that guest room though, 'cause it's warmer."

She leaned forward to peer down at the little grin chick, then smirked. "You're never gonna let him go, huh?"

When the little check is content in her arms, Alice doesn't make the motion to push him off any time soon. It's a good thing he's so complacent right now, he's encouraging Alice's motherly streak.

"When he wants down, I'll let him down," And by the looks of it, it may be for a while, as he starts to doze off in her arms. Alice goes about slipping him inside of her shawl, too, to keep him warm.

"Just about how many are there?"

Lumina just giggled again at the babying. Oh yeah that was going to be one spoiled chocobo.

"Mmm. Total?" Give her a second she was doing math. "Twenty-seven. Twenty-two adults, five chicks, and Chaos!"

"Twenty-seven?" Alice can slightly picture it now, with that many adults and chick chocobos running around in addition to her own. After a minute of Alice cradling the chick in her arms, eventually, the little bird decides it's a good spot to take a nap in.

Alice glances to the door, as if she could peer through the whole building to see that many.

"Goodness! That's so many! Is that girl helping you?"

Lumina just looked confused. "What girl?"

Alice considers shifting the baby bird off of her lap, but the fear of waking him, she reconsiders. She may be stuck like this for a while -- not that she minds, but it would have been worth it, so that she could see the rest of the chocobos around the ranch.

"Around our height," Alice glances up as she tries to remember, "White hair, I most definitely recall... auburn eyes? She said that she was your friend."

"Oh! You mean Shijima! Yeah, sometimes. When she's around." Lumina grinned. "She's pretty much a wanderer, but she has a room here when she's in Mair, you know?"

Kind of like Alice did.

"Mair?"

She does what she can to not jostle herself too much to wake the baby bird. Mair was not a good place for small children, let alone girls. It wasn't long ago Alice nearly had a panic attack when she found herself hunting down another child, at the time. And besides, she didn't know Shijima, she assumed she was a young girl, too.

"Mair isn't a good place to have a room."

"No she has a room here, when she wants to visit Mair." Lumina laughed at Alice's panic. "We're like, a ten minute walk from the city, Alice."

Mair wasn't a nice place, but Lumina had a ranch full of magical birds to protect her.

The chocobo twitches in his sleep as he picks up on Alice's reaction of a near exasperated sigh, as she calms down. Alice turns to Lumina, giving her a light nudge, a gesture to mark that exasperation.

"That does nothing to reassure me."

She would have loved it if both girls didn't go near Mair alone, actually. "Even I don't like going alone in Mair."

"It's not that dangerous," for a kid, anyway. It probably would be for Alice.

"I always take Chaos with me when I go into the city though. People are really well behaved around a giant, glaring magic bird."

[digophelia]

"Hardly," She won't go into details of her fears; she dreads to think what anyone would do. But Alice won't dwell on it any longer.

"Sadly, as much as I'd love to, I cannot stay for long to watch over the both of you."
