( she's been the the audiences that Lumina has, saw her after the death of the Jabberwock, after the fall of Mair. if there's anyone that might be best to help with this, well- Clarke's sure it's her. )
Hey, Lumina? It's Clarke, we met earlier in the year at the Festival of Shadow at Ariadne's spire.
( which is definitely a change from what she remembers from meeting her. as much as she'd like to launch right into things, well- her worry stops her from doing so. )
Oh- I'm sorry. ( and she genuinely does sound so, it isn't just a passing apology. )
I was actually hoping to get your help with something? I'd say it could wait if it's a bad time, but I don't think it can, and you're the best person I can think of to help.
I do. I know that you did your best to help the Jabberwock baby last year, and that you looked for her dad when the Queen asked, right? And you used to run a ranch near Mair with other animals? This is kind of similar in that- It's about one of the animals of this world, and out of anyone, I think you're going to be our best chance at helping it.
The Roc from spring last year, the King of Birds? He's injured, or maybe sick. I'm not sure, and I'm not much of an animal person, so I haven't gone to check out what's happening. I'm worried that if he doesn't get help, there might be a repeat of that really big freeze from the last time he was upset.
...Yeah, I went looking for him. [She found him too, but that was a secret still. Nobody knew it but her.]
Uh. [Lumina isn't quite sure how to process all of this, her ego and her depression and her confusion are all having a little mental fistfight.] I guess? I mean, I don't know anything about that animal. Except that he froze everything.
I don't know much about him, either. But he is important to the Drabwurld, and I think that if anyone has a chance at being able to help him, it's going to be the person that keeps showing how much they care about the animals of this world. And that's you.
[Lumina wasn't entirely sure what to say to that. A good reputation for caring about animals. That did not generally roll with her pest reputation. But there it was...]
Well. Sure, okay. I can save him, then!
[She got more certain the more she talked.]
I mean, how hard can it be, right? It can't be any worse than finding the jabberwock!
Definitely easier than finding the jabberwock, I bet. He's been seen flying over Nimh Gleanne repeatedly, so he shouldn't be hard to track from there. If you can help him, and find out what even hurt him in the first place, I'd really appreciate it. ( mostly because hopefully in doing so, they can prevent him from being injured again in the future, and stop another freeze from happening. ) I'll pay you for your time and travel, and if there's anything I can do to help you along the way, just let me know.
( and- she pauses, thinking. ) Nimh Gleanne is in Glaschu, but it's technically neutral territory. That said, I have something that I can borrow and lend to you that will hide your shard while you're there, just to be safe.
It's a charm that will conceal your shard whenever you keep it with you. I can borrow it and lend it to you for the duration of your quest, if you think it'll help?
Thank you. I'll make sure to give you something really great for doing this. I'll send the charm to you with an imp, and let me know if you need anything else, okay?

...Oh hey yeah, I remember you.
[Her voice is just as quiet. A bit subdued, really.]

Are you okay? You sound- Different.
voice »
Ugh, whatever. What's up?

[She stops.]
You want my help? [Lumina actually sounds surprised. It isn't that she doesn't think her help is awesome, but usually she has to force it on people.]

I usually just sneak around, but whatcha got?
voice »
( she worries, okay. )
voice »
Where'd you get it?
voice »
A friend. You just have to promise to give it back when you're done, okay?
voice »
Oh fine. I'll give it back, of course.

I'm sure I'll think of something. Thanks.
