What are dryads supposed to do? [He's not even going to touch on the whole murdering thing. That much was obvious. The fire in La Llorona. The decimation of Caer Scima. Everything's a wreck.]
You really didn't know? She's basically telling people to either fight, evacuate, or bring back the monster and anytime anybody asks she's giving them your name. [Judging by what he can see on that post, anyway.]
Well. [She's thinking.] We need ways to entertain it. The imps say it likes riddles and puzzles, so if we can get enough of them, we can kind of...lure it around with them?
Riddles and puzzles...[There's the sound of Hiro leaning back in his chair, fingers tapping on something Lumina can't see. It's so nice to have his tablet up and running here. He's already thinking of a plan, but is it plausible? It's hard to say.]
[Sorry Lumina. He knows this is kinda awkward but he'll figure it out later. This is important.]
What if we build a giant maze leading back to the Dorchadas? It doesn't even have to be solid, we could tear it down as the jabberwock moves through it. Stick puzzles in the middle of it to give it an incentive to keep going. Something.
Hey, I've built a lot of things in a few days! [Let's not get snippy with each other okay kids? He's silently stewing for a minute and it's hard to say what he's doing on his end.
But then, suddenly--]
...lavender. What about just the smell of lavender?
Whatever. [Rrrgh fine, forget it. Deleting that idea right now. There's a lull in the conversation though...]
Hold on a sec. [And there's the sound of the locket sliding over his neck and thumping against his chest as he quickly packs up. He needs to move from his table at the food court and go check on something.] Know anybody who can manipulate the wind? Or anything like that?
[Thank you, Thrall and Lemina, for giving him the idea of element manipulation.]
It's a thought. Maybe use both. It can't hurt our chances.
[He's quiet again, though obviously still walking through the Station to get to wherever he thinks he can find what he's looking for. They have to sell soap and stuff, don't they? Absolutely.]
...whatever you think is best, I guess.
[He'll probably regret saying that, but he can't deny the fact that a.) Saber trusts her with this job, b.) they don't have enough time for Hiro to fix everything with just his head, and c.) he kinda owes her an apology.]
If I think of something better, I'll let you know. [What's that saying about biting the hand that feeds? He notices. He doesn't comment on it, but he definitely notices.
A lot of things have happened in the last couple of days that've changed Hiro's perspective on everything. Other things he won't comment on, but definitely notices.]
You'd be surprised how many good things come from people who don't really know what they're doing. [You know, like him and his team at home. It makes him wonder what the nerds would do in a place like this and it just sort of really reminds him of the fact that he's completely alone here.] It's not about not having a plan, it's about looking at everything from different angles. Maybe that's why Saber's directing everybody to you. You look at things way different than most people here.
...think about it this way. If we try, at least we might be able to save it. If we don't do anything at all it's definitely going to die. [...well. No different than risking everything to try to save Abigail, isn't it?] What ways can we mess this up?

[Deep in seelie territory whoops.]

You heard Saber's message, didn't you? She's directing people to you about getting the jabberwock back.
Post-Saber's call to action, audio;

...She's really doing that?

That's uh. Okay. Okay I can do that. [She might be talking to herself a little.]

Date: 2015-02-11 12:22 am (UTC)He recognizes that look. He's felt that way and he lets her talk to herself for a minute before he cuts in again.]
…uh, Lumina? [Okay. Maybe he shouldn't have told her that.] You know more about the monster than most of us. You kinda have the advantage.
['You can do this.']
Post-Saber's call to action, audio;

Post-Saber's call to action, audio;

[Maybe he's thinking on too large of a scale...]
Post-Saber's call to action, audio;

There's a guy named Jack who can make snow, maybe he can?
Post-Saber's call to action, audio;
Date: 2015-02-11 02:12 am (UTC)If it's just the smell maybe we can just bait the jabberwock to follow a trail and get it as far out of the south as possible.
